The Via Roma is located in Salzburg, in the Nonntal district. The famous attractions of the old town such as Mozart´s birthplace are within a 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel is an ideal starting point to make excursions to the fortress High Salzburg.
The family-run city hotel Via Roma in Salzburg was built from the historic building of the Tavern on Rome Street, which was first officially mentioned in 1421. The house, known later on as the Salzburger Römerwirt, became a hotel with 26 rooms and was reopened in July 2003 under a new name.

Arriving by car
From the Highway A10, take the exit Salzburg Süd towards the city. Turn left towards Hellbrunn at the first crossing with traffic lights. Keep along this small road - pass the Zoo/ Hellbrunn Castle. After about 2,5 kilometers stay at the main road (Morzgerstraße) towards the center of Salzburg. Turn right into the Nonntaler Hauptstraße, you will reach our hotel after about 500 metres.
Arriving by public transportation
By rail: From the main railwaystation, take Bus Number 5 towards the Kommunalfriedhof (Community Cemetary), it will take you straight to our hotel (Busstop Wäschergasse).
