Italy and Salzburg: Villach junction, A2 towards Vienna, exit Vienna - Graz - Klagenfurt Nord continue on the S 37 towards St. Graz: A2 to Klagenfurt, then exit Klagenfurt Nord, via the S 37 to St. Veit an der Glan and continue as described above.

By train: to St. Veit an der Glan train station (10 km uphill to the monastery) or to St. Georgen / L train station. in Reipersdorf (3 km uphill to the monastery).
