Jet d'Eau
The famous water fountain is the symbol of Geneva. The original Jet d'Eau was completed in 1891 and reached 90 m (270 ft), a height which has been increased to 140 m (460 ft). During the summer month, the Jet d'Eau operates every day, except in very bad weather. At night it is illuminated, creating a stunning sight from the center of town.

Place Neuve & Henry Dunant/Red Cross
On the Place Neuve is the statue of General Dufour, one of only four generals the Swiss army has had since 1815. Not far from there is a bust of Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross. It is situated on the exact spot where in earlier times the guillotine stood. Visit also the Red Cross Museum.

English Garden
Take a walk in this beautiful garden and relax from a whole days work, it is located in front of the hotel. During summer, you can admire the flower clock, another symbol of Geneva, known all over the world.

Monument of the Port Noir
Exactly on this spot, the Swiss troops disembarked in 1814 in order to guarantee Geneva's peaceful entry into the Swiss Confederation.

Palais des Nations
Visit the United Nations office, located in the Ariana park. The nearby Botanical garden is worthwile a visit.

Old Town
The historical charm of the Old Town has been carefully preserved. It is dominated by the Cathedral Saint-Pierre constructed in the 12th and 13th centuries. Next to the cathedral is the Auditoire, the church in which Calvin taught and John Knox was minister.

Lake Geneva
Enjoy a swim in the lake at Geneva Beach or Bain des pâquis. You can also go water-skiing or diving closeby the hotel.

Location
34 Quai Général Guisan, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland Left bank of the city, facing the lake and the English garden. The hotel can be entered both from Quai Guisan and Rue du Rhône.

Driving Directions
From Cornavin railway station, take the bus 27,6 or 9 and get off at the stop "Place du port" (5 to 10 minutes)
From the airport, take bus 10 or train to Cornavin railway station and bus 6, 9 or 27 to "place du port" (20 to 30 minutes)
By car, direction Geneva center and then Evian, France. Cross the Mont Blanc bridge and the hotel is located 200 meters after the bridge on the right hand side.
