Arriving by car
The journey from Austria or Italy to Merano on using the Brenner motorway (A22). Then, after the motorway exit Bolzano take the highway MeBo to Merano. From Switzerland, the best route is via Austria and the Reschenpass and then continue through to Merano. Also, no cars can you do in Merano good holiday. The Meranerland has a very efficient bus system.
Arriving by public transportation
From Germany or Austria there are good IC and EC connections. Coming from Munich, Innsbruck, Brenner to Bolzano. In Bolzano they can transfer to the train to Merano. The train ride to Merano takes about 40 minutes and runs right through the orchards of the Burggrafenamt.
